Get Ready, Stay Ready: Community Action Toolkit Mini Grant Application
GRSR is offering mini-grants of up to $2500 to help communities be prepared for book challenges and to promote the Get Ready, Stay Ready Community Action Toolkit. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Please allow 4 weeks from time of submission for review and decision notice. Mini-grants will be available until the funding is exhausted.
Eligibility and Selection Criteria
GRSR mini-grants can be used as seed money to start a project, move an existing project along, or complete an existing project. Grant proposals must comply with the following criteria to be considered for funding:
All grant proposals must be related to intellectual freedom and use the Get Ready, Stay Ready Toolkit as a central resource.
The project ideas must be ready to be implemented and completed within 9 months of receiving funding.
The project description must clearly outline how it will address and support intellectual freedom in your community.
Project proposals targeting underserved and/or marginalized populations will be prioritized.
Examples of projects that may be funded:
Community Event that promotes the GRSR Toolkit
Funding to start a Diversity Awareness Youth Literacy Organization student chapter
Host a GRSR Workshop for a local group (e.g. PTA, SIC)
